Performing in Chakranadi at Disney's Animal Kingdom
A master of the Central Indian string instrument, the Sitar, Stephan Mikes’ always knew that such a unique instrument would open doors for the exploration of the musical world. Stephan’s talent was first introduced in South Beach, where he made numerous appearances at almost every major venue in town.
Stephan is sure to take audience members by surprise with his ability to combine the exotic Eastern sound of the sitar with the sultry mélange of Afro-Cuban, Reggae, Haitian and Latin Jazz, which he discovered while in South Beach. His soothing musical set provides the tranquil ambiance perfect for that special evening, or corporate dinner event.
For an Eastern themed party, or a world fusion event, or even just to have something a little different, Stephan’s acoustic authenticity provides the perfect addition to any event. He has performed in concert halls like the Wang Center in Boston and The Kravis Center in Palm Beach on the East coast and the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco on the West coast, and has been featured at hundreds of music and arts festivals across the US. Additionally, Stephan can be found as a feature entertainer in Asia in the Animal Kingdom Park.
